Several parts of the city and surrounding areas were blanketed by haze since 2 September 2009 (Wednesday last week).
The visibility levels deteriorated slightly day by day but I think the conditions are normal as the Meteorological Department (MD) did not put out any warnings. I really hope that MD release the reading of the Air Pollution Index (API), just to make sure that people know what the conditions is.
It was learnt that the haze comes from the open burning in parts of Sabah as well as winds blowing the smoke from Kalimantan fires.
REMARKS: Peoples should wear a mask for the haze and H1N1.
